GOLD WIRE EARRINGS

18 ct Red Gold earrings with silver posts. I made the gold wires from scratch, by melting percentages of copper, silver and fine gold to make red gold alloy. It started off as a little gold bean and I drew it down into 0.5mm wire. I made this design with red gold as it has more copper in it, making it easier to be drawn down to a thin gauge as the wires are stronger. The fine wires have a delicate movement to them when worn. This was a project I did at Bishopsland Educational Trust.

CHANNELS

Set displayed side by side Stacking Salt and Pepper Shakers, handmade Sterling Silver. Chased lines inspired by water channels in the sand to the sea.
